- NIOSH Approved Spirometry
- This course is designed for persons who will conduct lung function testing. Successful completion of this course will satisfy NIOSH and OSHA training requirements for testing persons exposed to cotton dust, asbestos, and other workplace exposures.
- Spirometry Refresher (NIOSH-approved)
- Refresher training in now required by NIOSH every 5 years for those students who wish to maintain their NIOSH spirometry training certification. This one day NIOSH-approved refresher course will review changes in spirometry standards and guidelines published by the American Thoracic Society (ATS) and European Respiratory Society (ERS). In addition to learning how to improve testing technique, this class provides the student additional insight towards the understanding, significance, and interpretation of lung function tests. This program will also provide an opportunity to discuss problems not foreseen during initial training and provides answers to commonly encountered problems during patient testing.
- Spirometry for Physicians
- A special one day course designed for the physician and other health professionals with responsibility for interpretation of spirometry test. This comprehensive one day course will provide the health professional the tools needed to correctly interpret spirometry test results, evaluate test quality, and learn new methods to identify significant changes in lung function with time.
